What is Cryoskin?
Developed in France, Cryoskin 3.0 is a alternative modality focusing on fat removal and skin toning. The treatment involves hypercooling the superficial tissue layers of the body to subzero temperatures in order to activate and stimulate cells in the body, resulting in reduction in fat cells and collagen production in the skin. There are 3 types of Cryoskin 3.0 treatments: CryoSlimming, CryoToning & CryoFacial. All treatment options are non-invasive and 100% pain free!
The Cryoskin machine is capable of causing thermal shock due to its ability to alternate rapidly between periods of skin warming and cooling. First the heat is applied for 2 minutes on the treatment area. Heating allows for the fat cells to rise to the surface which are then quickly targeted during the 12 minute cold treatment of each area.
The treatment lasts for 20 (CryoToning) to 30 (CryoSlimming) minutes and is done with the application of the Cryoskin wand in a massaging technique.
The CryoSlimming technique begins with heat and then a sharp decrease in temperature to -10 degrees to cause fat cell death (cryolipolysis). These cells will be passed out through the lymphatic system.
Clients may return to normal activity immediately after. For best results, no sugar should be consumed 2 hours before and after the CryoSlimming treatment. Hot Yoga right before or after both treatments is also discouraged.
How long does it take to see results?
Results are seen immediately, 72 hours later even more so, and up to two weeks later with proper hydration and low carbohydrate diet. It is recommended to treat specific areas between 3 – 6 times for best results. Afterwards, the treatments can last for years, but it is recommended to schedule 1-2 treatments every 6 months while maintaining a healthy diet and exercise.
